This was an illustration I finished for a competition only applicable to people in Brighton, based around the word 'Discover'. Mines a girl with a little pop up book about Brighton. Sadly it didn't win but I thought I'd share it anyway.
I never like briefs or competitions that are based around one word. I always feel like the person or judge has something specific in mind but are holding it back and I feel I could finish something to a better standard if I had more information. It's all good practice though and I think this picture was a good example of trying to mix my portraits with patterns.
